I called up Harry last week to see what he was up to for the week end - not a thing, so I decided to head up. He suggested a paddle instead of a hike and that sounded good considering all the hot weather we've had recently. After discussing possibilities, we settled on Fontana Lake from Cable Cove over to Hazel Creek. We had tried last year, but a big storm came up soon after we got on the lake and we had to turn back. Today's weather was iffy also, but we went ahead anyway. Here's Harry's canoe - nickname 'the beast' - and my somewhat smaller Sevylor Colorado stapped on and ready to go.
