Cindy wanted to begin the day with some views and that was fine by me. When she was up a couple of weeks ago, we did the Art Loeb Trail up to Black Balsam Knob. This time we drove to the end of Black Balsam Rd and began the hike on the Ivestor Gap Trail. The plan was to take this trail to the first Art Lob Trail intersection, then take the Art Loeb back up to Tennent Mountain. Even thought there were a lot of cars in the lot, the people were nicely spread out. If you know where to look on the Ivestor Gap Trail, you can see some Roundleaf Sundews. This is a carnivorous plant similar to the Venus Fly Trap.
