We had the same plan for Friday's outings - get up early and hope for a sunrise, come back and rest mid day, then go back out. Today we woke up to showers and breezy conditions, but headed out at the same time anyway. First stop was Sparks Lane where we would see a sunrise if the clouds broke. They didn't but we saw a bear cross the road about 50-100 yards from us. It briefly stood up in the middle, then continued across into a field. I had the video camera on at the time and hope I got something. After giving up on the sunrise, we got back on the loop and stopped at the Methodist church - stop #5 in the tour guide.
