My original plan was to check out the Baxter Creek Trail first, then the Big Creek Trail which also passes by Midnight Hole and Mouse Creek Falls. A bridge just off of the parking area crosses Big Creek to begin the Baxter Creek Trail. It was just after 8Am, but the sun was still behind the mountains.
