The weather gurus were calling for really heavy rain and maybe thunderstorms beginning some time on Saturday. We discussed several possibilities on where to go and settled on King Creek and Spoonauger Falls in upstate South Carolina. I really wanted greener scenery than what I was seeing yesterday on 215 and these 2 waterfalls were easy to get to in case we had to bail due to rain. Plus, I needed better pictures of both falls. We didn't run into any rain on the way down, but it had been raining. This is good for waterfall and forest shooting in general in that rocks, logs, etc shoot better when they're wet. The first stop was King Creek Falls. It's a really nice easy hike through the forest - about a half mile or so one way.
