There's also an unofficial parking area for a 7 mile round trip hike across Rumbling Bald Mountain to Eagle Rock. Along the way is a side trail leading above the climbing area to a view across Lake Lure of the main part of the park. The bowl area contains Wolf and Pool Creeks and their waterfalls. From left to right around the bowl is Cane Creek Mountain, World's Edge on the back side, and Chimney Rock Mountain on the right side.
