I stopped at the East Fork overlook before getting to Graveyard Fields. Heading south on the Blue Ridge Parkway from Asheville, most of the sunrise views are on the left side of the road. This is one place that it's on the right. The trees showed signs of turning, but there weren't many fall colors yet. By now the wind was really picking up - just like the forecast said.
