The forecast for Saturday called for more on and off rain - possibly heavy at times. This put a damper on any long hikes, but we hit the road anyway with some easier falls in mind. I wanted to see if Whitewater Falls was gushing, so we headed that way. But when we got closer to the parking area, the fog thickened and we passed on by. Highlands was next on my list since Bridal Veil and Dry Falls would be easy. Bridal Veil was looking pretty good. It's a low flow falls by nature and needs some rain to help it out a bit. A touch of autumn color is also creeping into the foliage.
