I recently realized I need updated photos from Panthertown Valley. Unfortunately the low water and sunny skies didn't make for good shooting conditions, but I had a good day anyway. I parked at the Cold Mountain Rd entrance and found the road paved all the way up to Canaan Land. Good news in the fact that the gravel road was often in bad shape, but bad news is the state wiped out all of the wildflowers along sections of the road including the Yellow Fringed Orchids which should have been in bloom - nice going folks.

First stop was to be Upper Wardens Falls. Along part of the trail the power company has cleared under their lines which opened up this view looking towards Saltrock Gap.
