This stream lies within the Shining Rock Wilderness area of the Pisgah National Forest in western NC. There's a trail that follows Greasy Cove Prong up from East Fork, but you can't see any of the good stuff. Our trail was the stream again. Small waterfalls began immediately upstream from the mouth and continued on up for another mile where we found a very nice 50-60' high falls. Here's a bit of what Harry and I saw...
Hi there. You are a great photographer. I just hope that the word getting out is the preservation of our home. I have been going to these places since I was very very young, too young probably. I have watched the trails erode, the trash increase, and the condescending mountain visitors tramp their way around while poking fun at locals. beautiful pics, just discoevered this spot for the first time yesterday. definetely the river is the trail, beautiful private swim spots!
