This seems to convey my intention better than the color version without the distraction of colors. To me the difference in their suits indicates the adult's intention to protect the child despite her own vulnerability or vanity. The board provides her the tool of protection with confidence.

The long and the short of it. Good use of abstraction (back views) and scale incongruity. The most amusing detail, of course, comes with the bathing suits. The kid's rear end is well covered. The adult's is not. You have a delicious sense of humor, Shirley.
