Phil, the picture looks too dark to me when I meter with the brightest, only to realize the contrarary later. Next time, I'd better use the exposure braket.
Wonderful vantage point --we follow along a goose who follows the geese who are following the family of geese! Technically, you can improve such images by carefully exposing your spot meter on the brightest of the highlights -- the white feathers of the duck. Here, they are burned out, which tells me that you exposed on a darker portion of the picture. Practice exposing and focusing with your spot meter, Shirley. You will reduce burn out and deepen the colors of your images when you use it effectively.
