Human invention--a moon from my street

I wanted to show the close ties between nature and human invention. This picture is straight from camera without any processing. Can you tell what it is? A few of my friends said they couldn't. one of them thought it was from orange peel.

superb idea ,a bit more darker and it´d´ve been hard to figure out what it is,from the thumbnail i thought it was an orange or something similar.

if you hadn't included the lamppost,
this would be trickier to figure out.
Nice job anyway.

I think's it is a lamp, re-oriented to represent a moon. Very incongruous idea, Shirley
