Famous, even legendary, wide angle lens, considered by many to be the best wide angle lens ever made for the 35mm format.

The test shots were shot on tripod, with a Canon 1DsMkII. The only differences in each shot were the aperture and concommitant change in shutter speed.

ISO 100, focus at minimum focus distance of lens, which in this case was approx. 8 3/8" from focal plane.

The crops are 100% crops of the upper right corner, saved @ 12 = no compression
originally shot as L jpg, highest quality; no post processing except cropping.
