Caveat Emptor - Let the Buyer Beware!

Most people are honest, and know what they are representing.

Unfortunately, meet a dishonest seller, or almost as bad, a misinformed or careless one...

:-(

Examples:

1. Okay, what the heck does this mean?

"Nikon 58mm AIS F1.2 Noct lens with latest SN: 191xxx, lens is in LIKE NEW condition, there are few light scratches on the lens body but the glass is crystal clear. comes with original caps, B+W digital pro UV filter, HS-7 Hood (all like new). $2400"

LIKE NEW, but a few light scratches? so does that mean new lenses from Nikon come with scratches?!?

And this from someone with a good reputation, and whom I would not hesitate to deal with, in all other ways...

2. ""My loss is your gain. I have a new MPE65 macro (tested it in house on a few household items when I got it). The lens has been sitting in my camera case for 3-4 months now. It comes with a blank card and box, lens cap etc.

Im listing it for $725.00 shipped. Please dont ask me to sell it for quick cash 600 with pick up as the lens is NEW."

NEW?
