On Auguest 12, 2006 the state school band, a group that normally plays for the entertainment of the residents at the Lufkin State School played at Jackson Hill Marina on Lake Sam Rayburn. They Appeared under the name Mudbelly and the Strat cats.

Band members are Runt, guitar and vocals, Larry, lead guitar, Carl, Bass and Dan on drums.

A little band history, Dan and Runt have been playing together more than 20 years I think. Larry and I have been playing together on and off over 20 years. I have know Dan at least 20 years or so and met Runt through the Taekwondo school and he invited me to this band. Runt, Dan and I have been at it for about 5 years now.

Enjoy the pictures from a night when we took our little show on the road. It was a lot of fun and the audience only called for Free Bird one time. We did not play it.

There is a DVD of the gig and it is really pretty good. My wife says it sounded better in person that it does on the DVD. That is huge man.
