Star Ferry used to be an indispensable public transportation means in Hong Kong. Before the first cross harbor tunnel was built in 1970's, ferries were the only ways that allows people and vehicles to cross the Victoria Harbor. Today, with many tunnels crossing the harbor, the Star Ferry's role has greatly diminished.
