Dating back to approximately 330 BC, this Column of the Dancers marble monument features three gracefully carved young women dancing around a central column stalk wrapped in dramatic acanthus leaves. The figures, dressed in lightweight, flowing tunics, were sculpted supporting a massive bronze tripod that originally towered over 11 meters high near the Temple of Apollo, with the intricately carved Omphalos stone copy perched firmly on its crown.
