In front of the Temple of Apollo stands a replica of the bronze Serpent Column, featuring a unique spiraling design modeled after the legendary 5th-century BC victory monument. It was originally forged from the melted-down bronze weapons of defeated Persian soldiers after the Battle of Plataea. Positioned directly in front of the temple's massive stone retaining wall and remaining Doric columns, the column stands as a profound symbol of unified Greek resistance and victory. The original column is in Sultanahmet Square of Istanbul, Turkey.
