Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek in an art museum in Copenhagen, Denmark. Founded in 1888 by Carlsberg brewer Carl Jacobsen, the museum opened its first building in 1897 to house his private art collection. Designed by Vilhelm Dahlerup in a 19th-century Historicism style, the complex features red-brick masonry and classical motifs. In 1906, a central Winter Garden was added with an innovative iron-and-glass dome to showcase sculpture under natural daylight.
