The Kunstmuseum Bonn (Art Museum), designed by architect Axel Schultes and opened in 1992, is one of Germany's major modern and contemporary art museums. Located along Bonn's Museum Mile, the modern structure features a prominent, floating concrete roof canopy supported by slender columns over an open entrance plaza. A central circular fountain and wave-patterned cobblestone paving anchor the forecourt, welcoming visitors into its spacious, light-filled exhibition galleries.
