Cabinet (Office/Study) of the Summer Apartment. Built between 1725 and 1768 as part of Schloss Augustusburg in Brühl, this room served as the private study/cabinet within the summer residence of Clemens August of Bavaria, Elector and Archbishop of Cologne. The walls are covered in thousands of hand-painted 18th-century blue-and-white Dutch glazed tiles (Delftware), depicting maritime scenes, countryside landscapes, and floral motifs.
