Johannes Gutenberg (1440-1468) lived most of his life in Mainz, Germany. He established a printing workshop in Mainz in 1448. Between 1450–1455, he developed movable metal type and printed the famous 42-line Gutenberg Bible, the first major book printed in Europe using movable type. There was no picture of him so this statue in the museum is just an artistic renditi
