The Princess Wencheng Rock at Zhangye Danxia National Geopark. Princess Wencheng (文成公主) was a princess and member of a minor branch of the imperial clan of the Tang dynasty, who married King Songtsen Gampo of the Tibetan Empire in 641. This political marriage helped to promote a peaceful relationship between the two kingdoms.
