The Qiyun Pagoda (齊雲塔), located within the White Horse Temple, is one of the oldest surviving Buddhist pagodas in China. The present structure dates primarily to the Jin dynasty (12th century), although it stands on the site of much earlier pagodas associated with the temple's long history. Rising approximately 35 meters (115 feet), the pagoda is a graceful 13-story brick structure built in the dense-eaves style, a form that became popular in medieval Chinese Buddhist architecture.
