Kungsträdgården (King’s Garden) has a rich history. Prior to becoming a public park in 1875, it was the site of the majestic Makalös Palace and a beautiful French garden between 1643 and 1825 before it was burned down. Artist Ulrik Samuelson has managed to recreate a Baroque garden underground. The green, red and white colors symbolize the lushness of the gardens, the gravel paths, and the marble sculptures that once defined Kungsträdgården.
