Designed by architect Ragnar Östberg, Stockholm City Hall, or Stockholms stadshus, was built between 1911 and 1923 in the Swedish National Romantic style using around eight million dark red bricks. Its 106-meter tower is topped with three golden crowns, a national symbol of Sweden.
