Skútustađagígar Craters

Skútustađagígar is the name of a row of pseudo-craters in the Lake Mývatn area. They were formed by steam eruptions as lava flowed over wet swampy area about 2,300 years ago. Since they were not the sources of lava, or volcanoes in themselves, they are not considered true volcanic craters.
