One of our four commissioned officers was a Civil Engineer. A Civil Engineering shop and workbench were located on the first floor of the Composite Building where we lived and worked. Civil Engineering was responsible for the maintenance and operation of all of our support facilities, including the buildings, equipment and grounds.
