Stadsarchief Amsterdam - The Amsterdam City Archives

The Amsterdam City Archives preserves documents pertaining to the history of Amsterdam and provides information about the city. The Stadsarchief Amsterdam is the largest municipal archive in the world. Since the summer of 2007, the Amsterdam City Archives have been located in the monumental Art Deco building De Bazel, in the city-centre, designed by the famous Dutch architect K.P.C. de Bazel. De Bazel is on the west side of the Vijzelstraat and stretches from the Herengracht to the Keizersgracht.
