當年的沙灘 已經變成亂石灘了
上世紀70年代，香爐灣一帶海岸線形成的自然沙灘，曾經是人們在此嬉戲、玩樂的好去處。後來由於在原址上修建了情侶路，香爐灣的沙灘逐步退化甚至消失，在退潮時可見大片礁石和黑色淤泥，昔日的美麗已面目全非。
… 2015年…"珠海將在香爐灣建設長1.5公里、寬50米的人工沙灘，再現當年黃金沙灘的情景，預計相關工程可在本年完工。"
