My office for 8 days and 16 game drives. Three cameras (left to right):
D2X (1.5X Crop factor) with a 24-70 f2.8 attached (36-105 mm equiv)
D300 (1.5X Crop factor) with a 70-200 f2.8 attached (105-300 mm equiv)
D3 (1.0 crop factor) with the 200-400 f4 attached (the big bitch)
One bean bag on the right for camera support, Mono pod with Wimberly sidekick on the left, plus the camera bag.
You don't want to change lenses due to the dust and during the action, you are often changing camera bodies as animals move closer or further away. Keeping all the bodies ready for shots with shifting ISO's, and exposures for shaded and full sun, plus flash and other considerations took up a lot of time during the non-exciting portions of the game drives.
Having a seat all to myself was good as I could shoot with support out of either side of the vehicle.
