Hamburg is the biggest port city in Europe. The harbor extended for miles in all directions. During the harbor tour (narrated entirely in high speed German) we saw enormous floating cranes, lock systems, gigantic tankers, and the city itself from a nice vantage.
Two days before, we also had these raw fish sandwiches on the docks which were fantastic, though intimidating at first. Julia said she grew up on them, and made us try them. It was worth it.
