Common Moorhen and Carp

Coyote Hills Regional Park, Fremont, CA

The water in the marsh is so shallow that the enormous, invasive carp swim with their backs exposed. This Moorhen was little bothered by it though, giving it a passing glance while swimming by.

Great capture of the two! I took a few images of these carp last week when I was there. A great, eerie experience, to watch them slither through the shallows.
