Mother Nature treated us to her own form of fireworks one day early--a lightning storm complete with gently rumbling thunder. Since we don't have this type of weather very often, I took the opportunity to try and catch it with my camera.

Tuesday, July 4 - Independence Day
It's a holiday so that means a Jazzercise party class. I took this photo with my pocket camera and obviously the shutter speed wasn't fast enough to stop the action. But I kind of like that it shows the instructors in motion. It was a great workout and a fun time was had by all.

Driving home from body sculpting on this evening, there was the most beautiful sunset. I just had to find a somewhat high spot to catch a shot of it.

My friend April and I went blueberry picking. It was a gloriously beautiful day--perfect weather.

After we picked blueberries we went to a favorite restaurant. We were so hungry, all I have is a shot of our empty plates. It was yummy though!

Then April said she wanted me to come over to her place so she we could hang out and show me her newly tiled bathroom too. We also managed to get in a game of Trivial Pursuit.

But then I had to get going to my Mom's so April and Doug took me back to my car (which I had left at the restaurant).

Once I got to my Mom's, I ate dinner and then played another rousing game of Trivial Pursuit. By 10:45pm I was getting pretty tired and said I could go for another half-hour, or until I won. I had won all the segments but it took the full 30 minutes for me to finally roll the correct number to get to the middle and win the game! Amazing how much being tired can impair your mental capability...

I almost forgot--some birds have started building a nest in a Welcome wreath in my Mom's front door entryway. Maybe soon we'll see some eggs?

Saturday, July 8
I ventured out for a bit of shopping on this day and ran across a couple of great buys. I got this very nice red leather camera case for my SD550. It was only $2.99 so I couldn't pass it up.
I also got a great deal on a nice 14-inch fan at Wal-Mart. They had mis-priced this fan--it said on the sticker $12.97 but when the guy rang it up the price came up as $23.66. I told him I thought the price was wrong. He checked and mumbled something about it being out of place on the shelf but that he could give me the price difference once his supervisor came and cleared the old price. Fine by me!
