As I was driving to work on this day, I noticed a beautiful sunrise coming up in my outside rearview mirror. When I came to a stop at an intersection I was able to get a shot off.

The clouds and how the rising sunlight reflected off of them made me wish I wasn't headed in to work at that moment. I sure would have rather been headed to the beach or somewhere--anywhere else but work. There won't be many more days like these and I'm not looking forward to the gloomy, rainy days of fall that I know are coming.

After Jazzercise and coffee today I went over to my friend Kerry's house for lunch. Yachiyo came too. Actually we went over there to pick pears, but we ended up having lunch as well. Kerry had made split pea soup so we had that, a nice fruit salad and I had a pastrami sandwich. It was just like the old days--Kerry feeding friends who had stopped by.

The object of our desire - Asian Pears. Kerry brought some to book club a few weeks ago and they were sooo good. She said I could come by and get some more.

She's also got grapes which are very good too.

We got out the ladder and I spotted and caught the pears while Kerry climbed and picked.

The fruits of our labor. They are sooo good and juicy. For some reason, these do not get worms like any other apple or pear tree would.

OK, so after picking pears and having lunch with Kerry and Yachiyo, I had to leave so I could go get a new do. This photo is for April--This car was parked just outside the place she found for me so I thought I'd take a shot of the car like hers.

OK, here is a photo of the new do. It's been slept on but hopefully I'll be able to replicate the look after I wash it. I figured with all the change going on around me--changes at work, the seasons are changing, etc.--it was time for a change with me as well. My photographer loved it. Thanks for doing that Nora! ; )
