I scanned and uploaded this old slide of mine in honor of ISU librarian Karen Kearns, who once worked at the Huntington's library. I told her long ago that I would scan this picture, and finally got around to it! Karen is the curator of the ISU Library's online photo collection, "Bannock County Images." Bannock County is where Pocatello is. In fact Pocatello is Bannock County's county seat.

I really think my original slide is sharp, but my $150 scanner isn't quite good enough to show that!

This bridge is a bridge found in the Japanese Garden section of Huntington Botanical Gardens, in a compound that includes a very nice library. Here is a link to the Japanese Garden's official site... Can't tell there that the bridge is red! Maybe it isn't red any more? I took my photo back in 1986, and it sure was red then!

I went there with my sister-in-law Vanida "Nieng" Kantabutra and her two small boys, now adults. I will also soon upload a picture of them in these gardens!
