Except in the well-known resort towns and big cities, it is not easy to find restaurants that offer truly artful cooking in the Intermountain West. Therefore it is good news that Tom Cashin, the cook, finally opened his restaurant, "The Dining Room," at East Center Street and 2nd Avenue right across the street from his well-established lunch spot, Bouillon Soup.

I have not eaten there yet, but I trust that the food is well worth the price tag, which is (for most of us) suitable for special occasions. I was told that the food pleases the eyes as well, since several of the guests photographed their food on opening night, the night before I took my photos of the restaurant.
