Duart Castle is a striking 13th-century fortress perched on a
rocky cliff on the Isle of Mull, serving as the ancestral seat of Clan Maclean.
Famously restored from ruins in the early 20th century,
it features massive stone walls, a dramatic dungeon,
and sweeping views over the Sound of Mull. Today, it stands as
one of Scotland’s most iconic and resilient West Highland castles.
