(best seen in original size)

Lush Green Stones, part of the temple covered with equatorial
moss and undisturbed for centuries lie on the ground of
the unrestored temple of Beng Mealea.

Beng Mealea or the "Temple of Lotus Pond", is a temple from
the Angkor period (900-1300 AD) located 40 km east of the main group
of temples at Angkor, Cambodia, on the ancient royal
highway to Preah Khan Kompong Svay.Beng Mealea was built as a Hindu temple,
but some carvings depict Buddhist motifs.
