When I saw the traffic was becoming heavier, I knew we were at the outskirts of New Delhi. But we were beset with 2 problems. The engine of our ambulance stalled 5 times in the middle of the road as we encountered a problem with the petrol pump but the driver's companion managed to get the vehicle to start again each time. The driver was also unfamiliar with the roads and lost direction. We had to rely on the handphone to ask a resident in New Delhi for help constantly. Someone suggested we pray. I told God if You are here with us, please bring us safely to our apartment. We managed to arrived at our destination at 10 pm. The engine of the ambulance was by then, sputtering. We had not had our dinner yet.
