79 Visiting the 4th slum.jpg

We were already there. These cow dungs were neatly laid out to dry in the sun, creating an interesting pattern looking from this angle.
I can understand why the bull or the cow is a sacred animal in India. It ploughs the field, provides milk, its dung is used as a fertiliser and a fuel for cooking I was told. The Hindus do not eat beef. A few of my Hindu friends are vegetarians.
