Year 6. Hmmm. We didn't do so great in 2010, but the challenge remains.
A challenge, each to the others within our family:
Learn something about photography every day, shoot and/or edit with what you learned each day. Narratives and details on your images are a plus, unless the image speaks for itself. Think of it as your 'Journal of Light' for 2011.
As in 2010, this journal will be spotty as life is moving very quickly for us these days. And, pbase hasn't quite figured out the ultra-simple upload, actually getting images up daily is time-consuming.
I hope you all have enjoyed the past 4 years as much as we have. This year our goal is to each post 3 to 5 images a week, leaving us a little wiggle room.
For us, this is how we answer the question..."How do you measure a year?"
Sunrises, sunsets, …
coffee shared with a friend, romance with a loved one, ...
births, deaths, marriages, dates, …
grades, projects, scores, news, …
changes measured, stories told, things remembered.
How do you know a year has passed? How will you remember what happened? what changed? what you did?
We will remember because we take the time to see, to record, to tell, to share and so to remember what we did this year.
We will record the stories so they can be remembered, recounted, enjoyed again and not forgotten.
We will live every moment to the fullest extent life will allow and pull the rest of the family along for the pure enjoyment of sharing.
Look … listen … see … feel … and be sure and tell someone so they can share the magic too.
