This storm started on Wednesday (12/20/06) very early in the morning. By noon many of the roads were terrible. By 2 PM many of the roads were nearly impassable. I spent 3 and a half hours driving home on a 28 mile run that normally takes 40 - 45 minutes.
We got a lot of snow yesterday. It is still snowing more than 24 hours later! The storm is expected to last for more that 48 hours.
Arvada got over 20 inches. Some areas of the Denver metro area got two feet yesterday (in 12-15 hours). The snow is still falling!
The official depth was 22 inches for Arvada. At the house we got over 25 inches.
WE actually got hit with a second blizzard on 12/28/06. This was the second major storm in a week. WOW there is a lot of snow out there. This gallery has pictures from both storms.
