Estes Park, Colorado

Located within sight of the Rocky Mountain National Park. Built by the inventor of the Stanley Steamer in 1909. One of the premiere lodgings of Colorado in the early 1900s. Teddy Roosevelt and John Philip Sousa were among the lodgers. Stephen King was apparently inspired to write "The Shining" while staying here.
