Yellowstone National Park: Blue Star Spring

Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

Temperature = 192°F. Shallow at only 6 feet deep. Its name comes from the star-like sinter deposits around the spring's edge. Over the years, many things were dumped into this spring; in 1946 many items were fished out of the spring. In the 1980s a young bison fell into the pool.
