Road in the grass - a reversal of yesterday's pic
The roads around here haven’t changed much in decades. Narrow and twisty, we frequently have to stop up, or backup for someone coming the other way. This is usually a friendly affair, with a cheery wave between drivers before commencing once more on our merry way. This is the way we like it. The hoards can hurtle their way along the A30 trunk road while we enjoy the relative peace of our back roads. Don’t go thinking that making our roads big wide and fast will make us happy. We don't want roads across our grass!
This has to be one of the most complicated PotD shots I’ve ever made. It started this morning shooting a roll of well expired black and white as I walked up the road to the post office. I developed it at lunchtime, and mid afternoon made a few quick prints in the darkroom. They were still drying as I set this shot up.
BTW, if anyone wants one of the hand made B&W prints that appears in this shot, they’ll go to the first three people who pmail me their postal address.
