I spent most of this evening trying to interface a digital 8-track recorder to Logic 6 on the iBook. Multi-track music recording equipment, in case you were wondering. I don't know why I never tried it before. Well, yes actually I do. It's complicated. It requires a load of brightly coloured cables, a clever little box called an 'Edriol Audio Capture' a sprinkling of driver updates, the reading of some big chunks of some big fat manuals all mixed up with a pinch of guesswork. But hey, I got it working. But my eyesight seems to have gone a bit blury in the process.
