Jan 17: More VW reflections

With Linda off to ‘the Lane’ to watch Spurs beat Liverpool, I decided to take the ‘64 over to my parents house, for a longer test drive than the usual trip around the block. Mum and Dad were excited to see the new car for the first time, and you can see their reactions here and here.

Today’s PotD though had to be this, their garage door reflected in my Volkswagen. It was behind this garage door that I fitted my first ‘hot’ engine into Bogart, my previous VW. The cam and crank from that engine are now part of the new car’s engine, some 14 years later!

Thanks for the lunch, Mum!

Great abstract shot. I love VWs and find myslef drawn to photographing them when I see nice looking classic models!

Very nice abstract. The light serves a good spot for eyes to settle.

I watched the match as well...I am a Liverpool fans and quite disappointed at their performance! :-(

It's like getting a 2 for 1 on reflections.
To me the chrome turn signal housing ref. stand apart from the paint ref.

She's SO pretty!
Maybe you and Linda could 'test drive' her to Hemel Hempstead one of these days?! I'd LOVE to see her in the flesh!

Makes a great design David - the orange reflector adds just the right punch to the image.

We loved the '64 but I don't drive manual gearbox cars anymore. As for the lunch, you're welcome anytime. Great picture, I've never seen the garage door look better.
