I've been reading up on the history of the area where we live. 200 years ago there were only 36 houses here. 100 years ago, there were several farms. 50 years ago developers moved in and the farms are now covered in houses. Today, we decided to find a new way through to some still undeveloped woodland, where the dogs could run around off their leads. We knew that one of the farms, Snaprails, had been turned into a park. But what a disappointment. It was a kind of plastic park, with fake water features and neatly curving pathways that never actually went anywhere. We persisted, and beyond the park, and another housing estate, we found what we were looking for. Proper outdoors woods with real mud. The doogs loved it!
